Terms and Conditions
1. Deposit.
All orders require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of the total cost which will become due once the order has been placed and details checked and agreed by you. Your initial deposit reserves your event date and order and is non-refundable and non-transferable. We must receive the remainder of the balance no later than 1 weeks (5 working days) prior to the event date (unless stated otherwise) or the contract is null and void, and deposit will not be refunded.
This non-refundable deposit can be made via bank transfer, cash or PayPal (there may be a small fee).
The non-refundable deposit is essential to confirm an order.
2. Cancellation Policy.
If for any reason it is necessary for you to cancel your cake order sadly the deposit will not be able to be refunded.
If for any reason I am unable to complete the order due to ill health or any unforeseen circumstances La Torta’s will be limited to refunding your full payment. No other payments will be made in this event. I will always work to meet an order however in certain circumstances for example illness it would be irresponsible to do so. Every effort will be made to locate an alternative cake maker for you to complete the order.
3. Changes.
The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of size, style or flavours of the cake. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed. Changes may be subject to additional charges. For any reason you wish to re-arrange the date your cake is required I will try its best to accommodate these changes without any additional charges provided sufficient notice is given and that I am able to provide a cake for the re-arranged date. However, if I am fully booked on your new date and cannot provide the cake, it will not be possible to refund your 50% deposit.

PRIVACY & SAFETY
La Torta collects information that, alone or in combination with other data, could be used to identify you (Personal Information), such as your e-mail address, name, physical address, telephone number, or employment information. If you make a purchase from La Torta , we will collect and store your billing and credit card information. La Torta may also collect anonymous demographic information which is not unique to you, such as your postal code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites (Non-Personal Information). Non-Personal Information is not linked to your Personal Information (for example, your IP address).
La Torta will collect your Personal Information in a number of ways, including when you contact us through the Website, by telephone, post, e-mail.
4. Delivery and setup.
This is made according to any directions given by the client; i.e. to the address (venue) listed, on the date indicated by the client.

5. Disclaimer.
La Torta’s are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 15C-23C.
6. Flowers.
If flowers are provided by an outside source you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. La Torta’s are not responsible for the quality or freshness of the flowers provided by an outside source.
7. Collection.
If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves La Torta's possession.
8. Photography.
On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
9. Allergens.
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, egg, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
